On 101705 at 0015 hrs Station 4 4 Intercourse was called to Leacock Twp to assist 4 7 Paradise on a barn fire at the 400 block of Queen Road. Chief Anderson Kinzers was heading home from work when he noticed the 2 story barn already fully involved with fire. The transmission reporting the incident to County Radio alerted a number of firefighter even before the alarm was struck. A steady wind from the west challenged the firefighters by pelting the milking barn with burning embers. A persistant fire attack with support from Truck 4 2 elevated master stream saved the milking barn 50 ft to the east on side 2. Tanker 4 4 was utilized in water supply while Engine 4 4 1 was used on fire attack protecting exposures on side 2 of the building. The bank style barn was used for hay storage was destroyed by the blaze. The company was back in service at 0435 hrs.
