VEHICLE ACCIDENT ON QUEEN ROAD

 June 7, 2005

On 053005 at 0904 hrs Station 4 4 was alerted to a vehicle accident w unknown injuries. Brush 4 4 and Engine 4 4 1 responded to 241 Queen Road in Leacock Township. Brush 4 4 arrived reporting one vehicle thru a fence into a field. The driver female patient was evaluated by an EMT. An ambulance was requested bringing Ambulance 4 3 1 to the scene. The patient was experiencing slight pain in the shoulder but declined further treatment. Units cleared at 0923 hrs.

OVERTURNED WITH ENTRAPMENT

 May 30, 2005

On 052605 at 1845 Station 4 4 along with Ambulance 4 3 Gordonville and Medic 9 Ephrata Hospital and Rescue 4 8 were dispatched for a vehicle accident with entrapment on West Newport Rd in Leacock Twp. When Chief 4 4 went enroute Dispatch advised it was involving an SUV on its roof. Deputy 4 4 arrived and initiated command reported wires down confirming entrapment. Brush 4 4 crew started with stabilization with Engine 4 4 1 assisting. Two additional BLS were requested for the passengers of the SUV. The unconscious female driver was confined to the overturned Explorer until personnel removed the patient thru the driver side door. The patient was transported by ambulance to Lancaster General Hospital. The company went available at 2001 hrs

On 051605 at 0725 Station 4 4 Intercourse was dispatched for spill control at 4020 East Newport Rd in Leacock Twp. Deputy 4 4 arrived and established command Reporting a three vehicle accident one vehicle leaking fluids onto the roadway. Ambulance 4 3 Gordonville was requested by Deputy 4 4 for a female patient complaining of neck pain. One patient Driver of car was transported by ambulance to LGH.

PEDESTRIAN STRUCK

 May 16, 2005

On 051305 at 1610 Ambulance 4 3 Gordonville and Medic 9 Ephrata Hospital with Station 4 4 Intercourse were dispatched to a vehicle versus a pedestrian in the area of 3601 Old Philadelphia Pike.Chief 4 4 arrived reporting one male patient lying on the roadway. EMS was given a patient update reporting serious trauma to the head. The patient was transported by Ambulance wmedic provider to Lancaster General Hospital. Fire Police remained on scene until Pennsylvania State Police completed the investigation. All units went available at 1743 Hrs.

pOn 043005 at 0559 Hrs Station 4 4 Intercourse with Ambulance 4 9 White Horse and Medic 9 Ephrata Hospital were dispatched to a vehicle accident with injuries in the area of 4100 Blk Old Philadelphia Pike in Leacock Twp. brAdditional information from dispatch informed of a vehicle accident with rollover and possible ejection. Brush 4 4 arrived confirming 1 vehicle accident with ejection. The driver was found slightly injured in the field beside the car. 139 COLONIAL ROAD

 March 25, 2005

font size2pAt 2047 Station 4 4 Intercourse along with 4 3 Gordonville 4 9 White Horse 4 1 Bird in hand 3 9 Liberty were dispatched to 139 Colonial Road in Leacock Twp for an apt building.Dispatch advised responding units that the caller reported a fire in the chimney area of the 2 frac12 story farmhouse. Captain 4 4 arrived reporting a fire 1st floor in the area of the chimney. Chief 4 4 arrived and established command. Upon arrival of Engine 4 4 1 the crew advanced a 1 frac34 hand line to the front door and went interior with a water can. The crew from Engine 4 3 1 was assigned to set up a ground ladder to the 2nd floor. The fire in the the ceiling area around the stovepipe was quickly knocked down as a crew checked the second floor for extension. Two water cans were used in extinguishing the fire and overhaul operations. Truck 3 9 crew assisted in overhaul. The units went available at 2156 hrspfont

MEDICAL ASSIST

font size2pAt 0827 Station 4 4 was dispatched for a medical assist lifting assistance in Leacock Twp. When Brush 4 4 went enroute Dispatch advised it was to assist in a below ground level victim extrication adding the need for a stokes basket. Upon receiving additional information a Rescue was requested bringing Rescue 4 8 Ronks in addition to Engine 4 4 1. Brush 4 4 arrived with Chief 4 4 2 and established command.The 18 year old construction worker was packaged by EMS on scene and ready for extrication. The subject was extricated thru a 3ft x 4ft opening in the concrete floor of the building under construction. The patient was transported by ambulance to Lancaster Hospital where he was treated for a backhip injury. Units cleared at 0857.pfont
